Reflecting and Reminiscing Of Days Gone By
- “The most beautiful things are not associated with money; they are memories and moments. If you don’t celebrate those, they can pass you by.” Alek Wek
- “Some memories are unforgettable, remaining ever vivid and heartwarming!” Joseph B. Wirthlin
Have you ever had one of those days? One where you remember people and everything about them? A reminiscent day. Remembering all the things they said, what they did, how they smelled? Their favorite outfit, cologne, and hairstyle? Their favorite cafe and fast food joint. Something they said that you remember word for word.
Well, today was one of those days. I have found myself daydreaming a few times today about loved ones. It’s easy enough to do. There’s not much else I can do as the temperature is just to hot to be doing much of anything else, then daydreaming. It’s easy just to sit under the big oak tree in the backyard and reminiscent of past loves and events.
I remember and I hold dear, the little things about the people I loved (and still do) I have been reminiscing of events long ago. The way my loved ones walked, smiled and ate. The way they laughed and frowned.
So many memories of people who have gone, enter my mind of late. My grandparents, father, aunt, and mother-in-law.
Today has been a struggle to focus on the matters at hand. My mind wanders so.
I wonder how different my life would have been had I not lost these people and they would be here now?
I can only wonder what the future might hold for me and the ones I hold dear?

- Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory
