With Social Media, we have lost the face to face communication like we once had. We sit behind the screens of our computers, iPads, and phones. There is no actual one to one communications nowadays. it’s a lot easier to use online interaction as a substitute for face-to-face interaction.
Social Media has taken over our lives. Anywhere you go there is someone on their phone/tablet. They never seem to put it down no matter where they are or what they are doing. It rules their lives. No-one seems to be able to enjoy their life due to Social Media. Going camping, the phone is there. Going vacationing/on holiday the phone/tablet is always there. No-one leaves it behind. Get out enjoy your life, live a little. Leave the social media and impersonal small talk behind for a while.
Also, Social Media can be responsible for so many marriage break-ups. I know too many people who have had their marriages end in divorce over one member meeting up with someone they met online.
With so much sharing going on, issues over privacy will always be a big concern. Sharing too much with the public can open up a major can of worms. Who is getting your information, who has the rights to the stuff you post and sometimes getting in trouble for something you have posted. Privacy is a big issue.
There is also too much sitting, too much artificial light and way less sleep going on with easy to use social media connections.
If you keep your social media usage to a reasonable limit you should be okay. There is some good and bad about social media but limiting your time with it, balances it out quite well.
